The corporate annual return needs to be filed each year at an Alberta registry to let them know that the corporation is still active.
The corporate annual return needs to be filed each year, on the anniversary of incorporation, at any provincial registry or online. This lets the Corporate Registries know that your corporation is still active, and lets you update any changes to directors, shareholders or contact info. It's much like registering your vehicle each year.
If no annual returns are filed for two-and-a-half years, they will dissolve your corporation.
The registries charge about $85 per year. If your lawyer maintains your minute books, they will also file your corporate annual return. If your corporation is registered federally, you can file your annual return online.

Keep an eye out for this form each year as it is your reminder to file.
