Alberta Funding for small- and medium-sized businesses impacted by COVID-19
If your Alberta business has the following:
- experienced a revenue drop of at least 30% as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic; and
- was ordered to close or curtail operations from Nov 6 2020 by the public health orders
you could apply for the government grant of up to $20,000 for existing businesses (established before February 29, 2020), or up to $15,000 for new businesses (began operations between March 1, 2020 and Oct 31, 2020)
Determine the revenue drop rate:
- Existing businesses must demonstrate a revenue reduction in April 2020 or May 2020 in comparison to April 2019, May 2019 or Feb 2020
- New businesses must demonstrate a revenue reduction of at least 30% in November 2020 or December 2020 in comparison to any month between March 2020 and October 2020
